Kamloops drivers told to expect delays Wednesday as crews repair water main on Columbia Street West

KAMLOOPS — Residents traveling between downtown Kamloops and Sahali are told to expect delays on their morning and afternoon commutes Wednesday (Sept. 4).

The City of Kamloops says crews will be repairing a watermain break in the 500-block of Columbia Street West.

Traffic will be reduced to a single lane in each direction and drivers should expect delays.

The city is asking residents to plan ahead and be patient as back to school traffic resumes.

Editor’s note: a social media post by the City of Kamloops at around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday stated the water main break was on the 500-block of Columbia Street. A correction issued at around 8:50 a.m. stated repairs were taking place at the 500-block of Columbia Street West near the Ramada Inn.
