“Recognize and celebrate all of our workers”: Kamloops Labour Day Picnic taking place at McDonald Park

KAMLOOPS — Labour Day festivities will once again be celebrated at McDonald Park on the North Shore Monday (Sept. 2).
The annual Labour Day Picnic in Kamloops will feature music, displays, kids activities and a barbecue with funds going toward the Kamloops Food Bank.
The picnic is hosted by the Kamloops and District Labour Council.
“It’s an opportunity to recognize and celebrate all of our workers. Whether you’re union or non-union, the work we do is so important in keeping families fed and the economy going,” Lois Rugg, Kamloops and District Labour Council president says. “Just the importance of the work that we do in looking after health and safety at the workplace and a lot of other great causes that the labour movement supports.”
