KAMLOOPS — By the time the final whistle sounded, the TRU men’s soccer team was down to 9 men and the UFV Cascades had 10 on the field as they won 2-0.

Fraser Valley got the party started early with Harjoven Sidhu scoring in the fourth minute of the contest as he collected a turnover from the TRU defense and calmly fired the ball into the back of the net.

TRU would control a string of play after the opening marker but were unable to beat Jackson Cowx.

Sidhu would then feature again in the contest, being sent off with a second yellow. Despite being up a man, TRU would struggle to send shots on goal and test the keeper.

Riku Suga would ice the contest in the 87th minute after the contest had gone to 10-men a side with his first goal of the season.

TRU keeper Luca Ortu made five saves in the loss.

TRU is now 1-3-0 on the season. The Pack have a bye week before returning to Hillside Stadium to face the MacEwan Griffins on September 13.
