SICAMOUS, B.C. — Police say no one else played a role in the fatal semi-truck crash at Sicamous’ Bruhn Bridge Saturday.

B.C. RCMP said the investigation into the crash showed the truck struck the west end of the bridge as it descended down the hill Aug. 24. The truck then struck the north side curb, crossed the bridge deck, and went through the south side railing. It plunged into the Sicamous Narrows channel.

Evidence from the scene confirmed no other vehicle or vehicles contributed to the collision, police say.

The driver and sole occupant of the truck was not initially found, and divers were brought in and able to locate the driver, who was deceased.
