Vehicle incident impacts southbound traffic on Highway 5 near Inks Lake Road turnoff

KAMLOOPS — Drivers heading from Kamloops to B.C.’s coast may experience delays getting out of the city Friday (Aug. 23) morning.

At around 4:20 a.m., Kamloops RCMP confirmed an earlier report from DriveBC of a motor vehicle incident on the 4100-block of Highway 5 near the Inks Lake Road turnoff.

DriveBC says the left southbound lane is open but centre and right southbound lanes remain closed. Northbound traffic is not affected.

Another update is due at 2:00 p.m. Friday.
