Kamloops RCMP seek information after three people injured in stabbing altercation Monday night
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are appealing to the public for information after a stabbing incident on the North Shore on Monday (Aug. 14) evening.
Police were called to the intersection of Yew Street and Tranquille Road at about 9:30 p.m. for a report that an ambulance had been flagged down and several victims were being treated for stab wounds..
In a release, police note it is believed three Kamloops men, ages 28, 35 and 32, had an interaction with a group of “transients” that led to an altercation, with the three men sustaining non-life threatening injuries.
“While we are continuing our investigation, based on the evidence gleaned thus far, this incident does not appear random,” Staff Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says in the release.
