Emergency department in 100 Mile House temporarily closed until Wednesday afternoon

100 MILE HOUSE, B.C. — For the second time in three days, the emergency department in 100 Mile House will be temporarily closed.
In a news release, Interior Health says the emergency department at 100 Mile District General Hospital will be unavailable Wednesday (Aug. 14) from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. due to “limited physician availability.”
Patients in 100 Mile House and area are asked to dial 9-1-1 or visit the emergency departments at Cariboo Memorial Hospital in Williams Lake, Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre in Lillooet or Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.
It’s the fifth temporary closure for the 100 Mile House emergency department in 2024.
