Shetland Creek wildfire: evacuation alerts rescinded for some in Blue Sky Country

Many properties that were under threat due to the Shetland Creek wildfire in the Spences Bridge and Northern Hat Creek areas had evacuation alerts downgraded to all clear notices on Friday.

The Thompson-Nicola Regional District downgraded about 152 addressed properties in Electoral Area “I” (Blue Sky Country), but kept evacuation alerts in place for about 80 addressed properties in the area.
