Blazers sign second overall pick in CHL Import Draft

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers have signed 2007-born forward Vit Zahejsky to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.

Zahejsky was selected by the Blazers in Round 1 (second overall) in the 2024 CHL Import Draft in July.

Zahejsky, from Plzen, Czechia, racked up 10 goals and 39 points for Under-20 HC Energie Karlovy Vary in the 2023-2024 season.

He added two goals and seven points in seven playoff games.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound forward toiled at the 2023 Under-17 World Hockey Challenge, tallying one goal and three assists in eight games.
