KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Venom must win on Sunday (Aug. 4) afternoon in the Snake Pit to keep their season alive.

The Victoria Shamrocks earned a 17-7 victory over the Venom on Saturday (Aug. 3) at Memorial Arena to take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-three Tier 1 Junior B B.C. Lacrosse Championship series.

Game 2 is slated for 1 p.m. on Sunday at Memorial Arena.

A mini-game will take place at 3 p.m. in the old barn on Victoria Street if Kamloops posts a victory in Game 2.

The Shamrocks won the B.C. Junior B Tier 1 Lacrosse League to snare a spot in the provincial final.

Kamloops locked up its eighth Thompson-Okanagan Junior Lacrosse League title since inception in 2008 to advance to the B.C. championship, which is a rematch of the 2023 provincial final.

The Shamrocks knocked off the visiting Venom to claim the B.C. crown.
