Kamloops NorthPaws name Jepson head coach for 2025 season

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Minor Baseball Association product Riley Jepson will be the next head coach of the Kamloops NorthPaws.

The West Coast League baseball club announced Jepson will take the reins in time for the 2025 campaign on Saturday (Aug. 3) in a media release.

Jepson will replace Jose Bautista, who has been with the NorthPaws since inception.

The press release notes Bautista plans to spend more time with his family in Florida.

Jepson is 27 and his playing career included stops with the University of the Fraser Valley Cascades and University of Texas at Tyler.

The NorthPaws dropped to 15-35 on the season on Saturday after a 13-6 loss to the Kelowna Falcons in the Little Apple.

Kamloops is 8-16 in the second half of the season and sits tied for last in North Division standings.

The NorthPaws’ final home game of the season is slated for Sunday (Aug. 4), a 2:35 p.m. start at Norbrock Stadium.
