Four Dunn Creek Road properties downgraded to evacuation alert

Four addressed properties threatened by the Dunn Creek wildfire have been downgraded to evacuation alert from evacuation order, according to a media release issued on Sunday (Aug. 4) by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District.

The four Dunn Lake Road properties (10570, 10665, 10615 and 10569) contribute to an expanded evacuation alert area that includes about 32 properties in Electoral Area “A” (Wells Gray Country) and Electoral Area “O” Lower North Thompson.

Discovered on July 22, the out-of-control wildfire is listed at 2,286 hectares in size as of an update posted on Saturday (Aug. 3) on the BC Wildfire Service website.
