Emergency department in Lillooet temporarily closed for most of B.C. Day due to limited physician availability

LILLOOET, B.C. — Emergency services will be unavailable for residents in Lillooet and area for the tail end of the B.C. Day long weekend.

In a news release issued Sunday (Aug. 4) night, Interior Health says the emergency department at Lillooet Hospital and Health Centre will be temporarily closed from 7:00 a.m. Monday to 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

The 25-hour closure is due to “limited physician availability.”

Patients in Lillooet and area in need of emergency care are asked to call 9-1-1 or visit Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops during the closure.
