Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant reportedly seen in Kamloops and Merritt while traveling to Vancouver
KAMLOOPS — A man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant was reportedly seen in Kamloops and Merritt while en route to Vancouver.
In a news release issued Wednesday (July 31), Kamloops RCMP say 65-year-old David Glenn Thomas Hurst is wanted for failing to return to his home on July 29. As per the conditions of his parole, he’s now considered unlawfully at large.
“Although David Hurst was initially reported as last seen near Fifth Avenue and St. Paul Street around 1:30 a.m. on Monday, July 29, further investigation indicated he was observed in Merritt later that day, on a bus destined for Vancouver,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson says.
Hurst is described as an Indigenous man standing 6’4” and weighing 124 lbs. He has grey hair and brown eyes and uses a red and black wheelchair. He was last seen wearing a cowboy hat, brown boots, black pants, and brown jacket.
