Blazers sign first round pick from 2024 WHL US Prospects Draft

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers signed their first round pick in the 2024 Western Hockey League (WHL) US Prospect Draft.

Eli Tverdovsky, a 2009-born forward, was selected sixth overall in the WHL US Prospects Draft in May after scoring 20 goals and 36 points in 27 games for the Okanagan Hockey Academy U-15 prep team.

“We would like to welcome Eli and his family to the Kamloops Blazers organization,” said General Manager / Head Coach, Shaun Clouston. Blazers head coach and general manager states in a news release issued Thursday (Aug. 1). “We are excited to be a part of Eli’s development over the coming seasons.”

The Blazers’ home and season opener at Sandman Centre is Friday, Sept. 20 against the Portland Winterhawks.
