Washroom at Rayleigh park deemed unusable after vandalism; RCMP searching for witnesses
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking for witnesses and information after a park washroom in Rayleigh was heavily vandalized.
RCMP say officers were called to Rae Mor Park at Arab Run Road on Wednesday (July 24) where several toilets were smashed. In a news release issued Tuesday (July 30) morning, RCMP say the toilets were smashed sometime between Sunday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 23.
“The washroom is usually locked at night, but unfortunately, it was somehow unsecured, and someone took the opportunity to damage it significantly, rendering it unusable for the time being,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “It’s very unfortunately for the users of the park and its community, and we are hopeful someone will have information to help further the investigation.”
Anyone who saw the vandalism, or has video or information related to it, is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
