Wildfire sparks near Becher Lake in Cariboo

The BC Wildfire Service notes a wildfire was discovered on Saturday (July 20) morning burning 1.9 kilometres southwest of Becher Lake in the Cariboo Fire Centre.

Lightning is the suspected cause of 2.8-hectare blaze, which is listed as out of control on the BCWS website on Saturday afternoon.

Becher Lake is about 38 kilometres southwest of the city of Williams Lake.
