Woman’s death in notorious Upper Sahali home not believed to be suspicious; gun seized
KAMLOOPS — A woman in medical distress died at a home in Upper Sahali that’s known to police.
Kamloops RCMP say officers were called to the 500-block of Carmel Court just around 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (July 16) where BC Emergency Health Services and Kamloops Fire Rescue crews were on scene, and called police for an insecure gun inside the home where other people were still present.
“Sadly, a female in medical distress did not survive attempts by emergency personnel to revive her,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says. “At this time, criminality is not believed to be involved in the sudden death investigation, which is being conducted concurrently with the BC Coroners Service.”
RCMP say officers attended and seized a loaded, semi-automatic rifle and a separate investigation related to it is ongoing.
