Small fire ignites 30km north of Kamloops

KAMLOOPS — A new, small fire has ignited about 30 kilometres north of Kamloops.
The fire, which was discovered Thursday (July 18) is shown at Alexander Lake within Porcupine Meadows Provincial Park on the B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) website.
It is measured at 0.1 hectares and BCWS believes it was caused by lightning.
This is the latest in a series of B.C. Interior fires believed to be sparked by dry lightning this week.
