Self-guided tour opens to showcase Shuswap farmstands
FALKLAND, B.C. — A new, self-guided tour is available for residents to explore farmstands in the Shuswap region that offer fresh produce and traditional goods.
In a news release issued Thursday (July 11), Shuswap Tourism announced the Shuswap Farmstand Tour will showcase agriculture in the Falkland, Salmon River and Yankee Flats areas.
Visitors at the family-owned farmstands can expect to find farm goods such as freshly picked fruit, vegetables, farm-fresh eggs, golden honey, vibrant flowers and organic chicken, beef and pork.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Shuswap Farmstand Tour, which celebrates our region’s agricultural heritage and offers a direct connection between consumers and local growers,” Morgen Matheson, Shuswap Tourism manager says. “It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to support local businesses while enjoying the freshest produce our region has to offer.”
