Man dragged, injured while suspects attempted to steal boat near Adams Lake

ADAMS LAKE, B.C. — A man was seriously injured while two men attempted to steal his boat on Saturday (July 6) near the Adams Lake boat launch, according to a Barriere RCMP media release.

The release notes the boat owner was dragged several metres while intervening to foil the theft and the suspects were not able to abscond with the boat.

“Given the suspect’s vehicle was unique and had been parked at the Adams Lake boat launch on a busy day, we’re hoping someone may have seen it,” Barriere RCMP Cpl. James Grandy said in the release.

The flat-deck truck is grey and blue, perhaps an older-model Ford, with wood panels on each side.
