Kamloops Broncos to host fundraising scrimmage against Okanagan Sun

KAMLOOPS — Fundraising efforts for the Kamloops Broncos will continue during a pre-season scrimmage against the Okanagan Sun of Kelowna on Saturday, July 13.

The event – admission is by donation — will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hillside Stadium, where raffle tickets will be sold for prizes of $1,500, $1,000 and $750.

Broncos’ president Michelle Peters told CFJC Today in the spring of efforts to drag the club out of financial dire straits and noted the B.C. Football Conference (BCFC) franchise came close to folding last year.

Kamloops is slated to open the 2024 BCFC campaign on July 20, when the Westshore Rebels of Langford come to town for a 6 p.m. start at Hillside Stadium.
