Equipment failure knocks out power for more than 2,000 residents in Aberdeen

KAMLOOPS — Thousands of residents in Aberdeen are expected to be without power for the rest of Thursday (July 4) morning.

BC Hydro says 2,115 customers northeast of Aberdeen Drive, south of Hillside Drive and west of Robson Drive have been without power since 8:15 a.m. Thursday due to “equipment failure.”

BC Hydro says crews are on site, but power is not expected to be restored until 1:00 p.m. Thursday.
