COLLINS: The U.S. Is facing what might be its biggest challenge ever.
WHAT DO YOU DO DO in the world’s most powerful country when you haven’t much faith in either of the candidates running? That’s the huge challenge the United States is facing. And it certainly was evidenced in Thursday’s Presidential debate.
On the one hand you have the Incumbent, Joe Biden. Considered a good man, caring about his country and who has the country slowly getting back on track. But at the same time showing signs of being in his 80s. He is not a great public speaker, stumbles at times when he talks, and on occasion looks like a doddering old man.
And then we have Donald Trump, convicted felon, twice impeached, a proven liar, surrounded by a team that also faces a litany of charges for actions undertaken during their time of service to Trump.
It still makes me wonder about the mentality of people who would vote for Donald Trump over Joe Biden. When a man talks for half an hour or longer and says absolutely nothing that makes sense, and you still want to vote for the man, I would have you question your own ability to make rational decisions. In Thursday’s debate Trump either told an outright lie, or deflected the question every time he opened his mouth. He is already telling us how he will decimate democracy if he gets back into the White House. That’s tantamount to a dictatorship in my opinion. Yet despite all this, he has the support of half of those eligible to vote in November.
