Kamloops RCMP seeking information after string of vehicular vandalism
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops RCMP Detachment is reaching out to Juniper Ridge residents after at least 10 vehicles were damaged between yesterday and this morning.
On Thursday (June 27), around 5:30 a.m., Kamloops police received a report of a car with smashed windows parked roadside on the 1900-block of Qu’appelle Boulevard. Soon after, numerous other discoveries were made involving slashed tires and smashed vehicle windows along the boulevard, in both east and west Juniper.
“At this time, some of the victims may not have realized yet that their vehicle was damaged during this series of destructive acts,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson. “We are reaching out to the public to see if they witnessed, have video surveillance including doorbell cameras, or dash camera footage that could help police identify a suspect.”
Currently, there is no definitive timeline on when the mischiefs began, but they may have started as early as yesterday evening and continued overnight, based on the investigation so far.
