Fresh off his first extended NHL playoff run, Kamloops’ Logan Stankoven didn’t take much time to rest on his laurels. After a quick breather in Mexico, it’s back to the grind for the Dallas Stars forward. Stankoven skates three or four times a week in the summer and trains five days a week at the Sports Legacy Fund High Performance Centre on campus at Thompson Rivers University. That’s where CFJC’s Marty Hastings found him, along with fellow pro hockey player Joe Hicketts and trainer Kevin Brechin of Kamloops.
