Will Smith Will Perform New Song

Will Smith is set to perform an original new song on Sunday at the 2024 BET Awards. This will be the first high profile solo performance for the rapper/actor since he slapped Chris Rock during the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony. Very few details have emerged about Smith’s upcoming performance or the new song he is set to premiere during the ceremony, though rumors are circulating that he is currently at work on a new album. “From his start as a rapper to ‘The Fresh Prince’ to being a box office king as one of the Bad Boys, Will Smith is truly a global icon, and we are honored to welcome him back to grace the BET Awards stage,” said Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET. “We look forward to Will adding to yet another defining night for the culture that is not to be missed.”
