Air tankers, Simpcw firefighters to conduct training exercise near Kamloops Lake Friday

KAMLOOPS — People heading toward Kamloops Lake to get an early start on the weekend may see some busy air space Friday afternoon (June 21).

On social media, the B.C. Wildfire Service (BCWS) notes it will conduct a joint training exercise with a Simpcw First Nation Initial Response crew on the north side of the lake, on Sabiston Creek Road.

BCWS says a birddog and a skimmer will take part in the exercise and may be noticeable north of the lake and flying over Savona.
