RCMP share image of suspect in Sun Rivers arson

TK’EMLUPS — RCMP are looking for the public’s help identifying a man who may have started a fire that damaged a structure in Sun Rivers earlier this month.

Officers were called to the incident at Talasa Way and Sun Rivers Drive at about 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5. A mobile site trailer had been set ablaze at that location.

“At the time of the fire, witnesses reported a suspect running from the scene,” said Tk’emlups RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “Police are distributing images of the suspect taken from security video in the hope that someone will be able to recognize him and help further the arson investigation.”

Suspect description:

• Male
• Tanned skin
• 6′ tall
• Slender build
• Wearing blue jeans, a red long-sleeved shirt and a cap
