Kamloops Sunrays’ artistic swimming season highlighted by podium finishes at nationals, provincials
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Sunrays reached the podium at each event in which they participated this season, according to a club press release.
National stream team members Nadia Curtis, Kate Liebe, Hailey MacPhee, Nevaeh Manuel-Hearn and Taya Angstadt won bronze at the Canadian Championships in Montreal, with help from coach Disa Fladmark.
“Their sports-themed routine captivated audiences and judges alike, earning them a well-deserved spot on the podium and cementing their status as one of the country’s top artistic swimming clubs,” reads the club release.
Fladmark earned the BC Artistic Swimming Mable Moran Award, which is handed to a club member who shows excellence in fostering growth of artistic swimming in the province.
