KAMLOOPS — RCMP are working to determine whether a man who died from blunt force injuries on the Kamloops North Shore over the weekend was the victim of a homicide.

In a news release, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says officers responded to a home in the 600-block of Sydney Avenue at about 3:20 p.m. Saturday (June 8).

In the home, they found a man suffering from serious blunt force injuries. The man was rushed to hospital for treatment but died early Sunday morning.

“As part of the sudden death investigation, police executed a search warrant on the residence to help determine what occurred and if any criminality was suspected,” said Evelyn.

The BC Coroners Service is conducting a parallel investigation.

Anyone with further information is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-17599.
