KAMLOOPS — The 2024 recruiting class from TRU WolfPack Men’s Soccer Coach John Antulov has gotten stronger with the addition of a midfielder from Ontario.

Zachery Hamedi, from Ajax Ontario, has committed to the ‘Pack after playing down south of the border at Murray State College and Holy Family University, a NCAA Division 2 School.

“We are very happy that Zach chose to come to TRU, I think he is very technically sound and good on the ball – he’s really composed with an excellent range of passing,” said Antulov. “He’s someone that can help us in attack moving forward, but also is a solid holding midfielder defensively. He’s someone that I think is going to be a really good addition to our squad.”

An All-Tournament Region 12 NJCAA midfielder and an NCAA Division 2 champion, Hamedi found a perfect fit at TRU to continue his student-athlete journey.

“I chose to join the ‘Pack because of the top-notch facilities, top coaching staff, and winning mentality,” said Hamedi. “As soon as I spoke with John and had the opportunity to come down to see Kamloops, I knew this is where I wanted to be as the visit stood out to all of my previous ones. The coaching staff made me feel at home.”

A central midfielder, Hamedi is looking to bring experience and leadership to the fold at TRU.

“I love to play football, get on the ball, find the half-spaces and keep possession,” said Hamedi. “I’d say I’m a deep lying playmaking midfielder.”
