Lytton man arrested after reportedly threatening family members with gun and sharp objects
LILLOOET, B.C. — A man in Lytton was arrested over the weekend for reportedly threatening family members with a gun and sharp objects.
On Monday (June 3), Lytton RCMP say officers received a call of a man who had been drinking a lot of alcohol and was allegedly threatening family members in their house with sharp objects. RCMP say officers learned on scene that the man had also reportedly pointed a gun at a family member.
“The man eventually came out of the house to police commands and attempted to gain access to one of the vehicles in the driveway,” RCMP state. “He was immediately arrested and handcuffed by police for pointing a firearm, uttering threats and assault with a weapon.”
In a news release issued Thursday evening, police say the matter is still under investigation, and all offences listed are alleged and have not been proven in court.
