Kamloops Fire Rescue responding to fire at Scott’s Inn
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) crews are battling a downtown fire Monday (June 3) morning.
A large plume of dark smoke could be seen emerging from Scott’s Inn & Suites on the 500-block of 11th Avenue shortly after 8:00 a.m. Monday. KFR says the fire has been knocked down and it appears to be limited to the kitchen. In a post to social media, KFR says crews are checking for extension and doing overhaul.
“Initial reports came in for a report of smoke at Scott’s Inn on 11th and Battle. The first arriving units reported that we did have quite a bit of smoke showing. We sent crews in on an offensive attack right away,” KFR Deputy Fire Chief, Ryan Cail told CFJC News. They knocked the fire down and confirmed an all-clear search throughout the building.”
