Vehicle incident snarls northbound traffic on Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt

MERRITT, B.C. — Drivers heading back home to Kamloops, Merritt and area Sunday (June 2) are told to expect major delays.

DriveBC first reported of a vehicle incident on the northbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The incident on Highway 5 at Coquihalla Lakes Road has blocked the northbound lanes, but DriveBC says drivers can expect some southbound lane closures as well.

Detours remain available via the Trans Canada Highway from Hope to Spences Bridge and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton.
