Kamloops man charged after alleged 2023 sexual assault in city’s West End

KAMLOOPS — A 40-year-old Kamloops man is charged with sexual assault after an incident in the city’s West End last summer.

In a news release issued Tuesday (May 28), Kamloops RCMP say Ryan Joseph Gallant was served a summons to appear in court on June 13.

The charge stems from an incident that led to a police call shortly after 9:00 p.m. on July 9, 2023. Kamloops RCMP received a report of sexual assault that reportedly occurred on a walking path between Stratchona Terrace and St. Paul Street West.

Previously, police asked for information and video from anyone who may have been in the area during that time.
