KAMLOOPS — First responders were called to the intersection of Pacific Way and Hillside Drive Friday afternoon (May 24) for a pedestrian struck by a pickup truck.

Just after 12:15 p.m., Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Crystal Evelyn says police, fire and ambulance crews responded to a report of a pedestrian who was hit by a vehicle.

“The driver is cooperative in the investigation and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries,” says Evelyn.

The intersection at the entrance to Dufferin was blocked off briefly while paramedics attended to the man and crews cleared the scene. Mounties say the incident is still under investigation.

“Police did speak to some people who were in the area, and if anybody has information and they haven’t contacted police yet, please feel free to do so.”
