Cariboo Power Outage

Power out for more than 3,000 residents east of Williams Lake

UPDATE (9:50 a.m.): BC Hydro’s outage map shows power has been restored.

EARLIER: WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Thousands of residents in the Cariboo are without power Tuesday (May 21) morning.

BC Hydro says power for 3,373 customers east of Williams Lake has been off since around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday. Affected communities include Horsefly and 150 Mile House.

A crew has been assigned to the outage, and the cause is under investigation.
