KAMLOOPS — TRU WolfPack women’s volleyball head coach Chad Grimm will don the Maple Leaf in June at the Under-21 North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation Continental Championship, which is scheduled to run from June 23 to July 1 in Toronto.

“It’s good to stay involved, to get into the different gyms and see different athletes,” Grimm said in a TRU sports information press release.

“It’s good professional development and exposure to change things up and see different perspectives.”

Grimm, from Kersley, has been head coach of the WolfPack women since the 2014-2015 season and has transformed the program into one that is routinely in contention for the Canada West post-season, according to the release.

Thirteen members of the Pack have earned conference recognition on all-star or all-rookie teams during his tenure.

Grimm, who represented Canada at youth levels as an athlete, most recently represented the country when he joined the senior national women’s team as an assistant coach for the NORCECA Championship in August of 2021.

“In our profession, we are so siloed into our little gyms, so it’s great to get out and see some other things,” Grimm said.
