Bob’s Mini-Mart gunpoint robbery suspect arrested

MERRITT — The suspected Bob’s Mini-Mart robber has been arrested.

Merritt RCMP have in custody the man who on Friday (May 10) allegedly robbed at gunpoint the convenience store at 2801 Clapperton Ave.

An RCMP press release on Tuesday (May 14) notes a tip from the public led to the arrest in downtown Merritt.

The suspect faces several charges, including robbery with a firearm.

He put himself in dismal position at about 1:40 p.m. on Friday, when security cameras caught clear photos of his face, tattoo and a vehicle (two-door Fiat) RCMP noted may be associated with the suspect, visuals that were promptly offered to media.
