Logan Stankoven of Kamloops snapped a nearly two-month scoring drought on Saturday (May 11), tallying two goals for the Dallas Stars in a 4-1 win over the hometown Colorado Avalanche in Game 3 of the Western Conference second-round series.

He scored Dallas’ first goal and added an empty-net marker late in the third period to help the club take a 2-1 lead in the series.

Game 4 is slated for Monday in Denver.

Stankoven, the 21-year-old rookie, made his NHL debut with six goals in his first 12 games in a stretch from Feb. 24 to March 20.
