Blazers select forward Tverdovsky, goaltender Tate in U.S. Priority Draft

KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Blazers selected two players on Wednesday (May 8) in the WHL U.S. Priority Draft.

Kamloops nabbed forward Eli Tverdovsky of Los Angeles, Calif., with the sixth overall pick in the draft.

Tverdovsky, a 5-foot-11, 154-pound right shot, is the son of former NHLer Oleg Tverdovsky and played most recently for Okanagan Hockey Academy of Penticton, with its under-15 prep team.

The Blazers picked goaltender Kaeden Tate of Huntington Beach, Calif., with the 23rd overall pick in the draft.
