No injuries in Tuesday morning house fire in Brocklehurst: Kamloops Fire Rescue

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Fire Rescue (KFR) responded to a fire in a Brocklehurst cul-de-sac Tuesday (May 7) morning.

In a post to social media, KFR says crews were en route to 989 Lincoln Court for a structure fire at around 8:20 a.m.

According to KFR Deputy Chief Ryan Cail, once on scene, crew members made quick work, before the fire could spread.

“From the time on scene, with the extent of the fire, they did that real quick offensive knockdown in the basement, saved the rest of the house for sure,” Cail told CFJC News.

KFR says everyone was outside the structure and accounted for. Crews remained on scene as of 10:00 a.m. for mop-up duty. The fire’s cause and the damage’s extent are still under investigation.
