KAMLOOPS — Refugees and Friends Together (RAFT) has issued an open invitation to its Annual General Meeting.
The meeting is scheduled to run from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on May 25 at the Hills of Peace Lutheran Church (695 Robson Dr.) and will feature speakers, video, discussion and refreshments, according to a RAFT press release.
RAFT is a refugee resettlement group in Kamloops comprised of volunteers.
The organization is aiming to raise a minimum of $30,000 this year to establish a sponsorship fund for bringing one or more families to Kamloops.
