KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP have put out a plea for witness video after a drive-by shooting on the North Shore.

Just after 6:00 a.m. Friday (May 3), RCMP say officers were called to the 1200-block of 10th Street for the report of shots fired at a home with a silver older model Jetta seen leaving the area.

In a news release, S/Sgt. Janelle Shoihet says the suspect Jetta has been found on 13th Street, but the suspects remain outstanding.

“Thankfully, no one was injured but we certainly understand that incidents such as these are concerning to residents and neighbours,” Shoihet says. “While the investigation is in its infancy, this event has all the earmarks of a targeted shooting between parties in conflict.”

RCMP investigators are asking anyone who lives in and around the area of 13th Street and 10th Street to review their video surveillance between 5:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. Friday for the silver Jetta.

Anyone with information or video is asked to contact Kamloops RCMP.
