Drug poisoning overdose alert issued for Williams Lake and area

WILLIAMS LAKE, B.C. — Interior Health is warning of an uptick in fatal overdoses in Williams Lake.
A drug poisoning overdose alert issued Tuesday (April 30) is in effect for Williams Lake and area until May 7. No specific substance was mentioned.
To prevent overdose, Interior Health asks residents who use to start with a small amount and space out their dosages and not to use alone. Residents are also asked to carry naloxone and know how to use it.
Residents who use can get their drugs checked online.
