Nicole Kidman to be Honoured

Nicole Kidman will be honored at the AFI Life Achievement Award Tribute by Hollywood peers like Reese Witherspoon, Meryl Streep, Morgan Freeman, and Naomi Watts. Kidman, the first Australian to receive this award, is being recognized for her impactful career in film and art. “Nicole Kidman embodies the glamour and romance of Hollywood past — a true screen icon — but she is also a risk taker – and so each performance is something new and something profound,” said AFI president Bob Gazzale. “And like all truly great artists — Nicole not only gives back – she drives culture forward with her commitment to amplifying the voices of female directors and producers.” The tribute special will air on June 27th at 10 p.m. on TNT.
