Crazy Rich Asians To Broadway?

The popular film Crazy Rich Asians is set to be adapted into a Broadway musical, with Jon M. Chu, the film’s director, also directing the stage adaptation. The musical is a collaboration between Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Kevin Kwan, the author of the original 2013 novel. This marks Chu’s Broadway directorial debut. He’s also known for his work on the film adaptation of In The Heights and the upcoming Wicked adaptation. Details regarding dates and casting are yet to be announced. The film, released in 2018, featured a star-studded cast and was a significant moment for Asian representation in Hollywood.
