Blazers’ defenceman Brunicke named to Canada’s U-18 team, moves up NHL Draft rankings

KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers’ defenceman Harrison Brunicke received a double dose of notable news on Tuesday (April 16).

Brunicke, 17, is one of six defencemen named to Hockey Canada’s U-18 roster for the 2024 International Ice Hockey Federation Under-18 World Championship in Finland.

The tournament is slated to run from April 25 to May 5.

Additionally, Brunicke was listed 52nd overall among North American skaters in the National Hockey League (NHL) Central Scouting final rankings ahead of the 2024 NHL Draft, up from 67th overall in the midterm rankings.
