KAMLOOPS — Kamloops RCMP are looking for help from the public to identify a robbery suspect.

Police responded on March 28 to an incident on the 400-block of Lansdowne Street, where an employee of a retail store attempted to stop a man from stealing and the suspect allegedly produced a weapon in response, according to an RCMP press release.

The RCMP on Tuesday released an image of the suspect, who is male and tanned, with a moustache and beard, and wearing a dark jacket and a ball cap. There is white writing on the hat.

“Fortunately, the employee was uninjured physically,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the press release. “Officers were not able to locate the suspect at the time of the occurrence, but are hopeful someone from the public can identify him based on the image released and help further the investigation.”
